Vanderbilt Lowers Energy Consumption & Greenhouse Gas Emissions

Vanderbilt University recently announced a 27 percent decrease per person in their greenhouse gas emissions, and electricity purchased in 2013 was at a seven year low.

In addition, Vanderbilt purchases green power from NES and TVA through the Green Power Switch program. Each renewable block of energy is approximately 150 kilowatt-hours and is generated from renewable resources such as wind, solar and methane gas. Vanderbilt purchases 750 blocks each month, making them NES’ largest Green Power Switch customer.

Congratulations, Vanderbilt! We are proud of your sustainability efforts. READ MORE
